About Evolution Wiki

An edited news publication covering world affairs, politics, business, science, technology and culture.

Evolution Wiki is an independent, edited news publication. We report on world affairs, politics, business, science and the environment, technology and culture, in plain English and with the sources attached to every story.

What we publish

Sourced news stories. Each one explains what happened, how we know and why it matters, and ends with a list of the documents, official statements, data and reporting it draws on. We say which facts come from governments, companies, courts, researchers or other news organisations, and we keep opinion out of the news.

The name

Despite the name, Evolution Wiki is not a wiki that anyone can edit. Every article is researched and written by our editorial team and checked against its sources before publication. The name reflects how we see the news: as a record that changes as events develop, which is why we update stories and mark corrections openly.

Our sections

  • World: international affairs, conflicts, diplomacy and regional news.
  • Politics: elections, governments and legislation, reported neutrally.
  • Business: markets, companies, trade and the economy.
  • Science & Environment: research, climate, nature and space.
  • Technology: the companies, products and rules changing how we live and work.
  • Culture: arts, books, film, music, heritage and ideas.
